Born in 1994 and adopted from Russia in 1997, John Randazzo has always had an interest in music. Greatly influenced by his parents, John respects every musician from Robert Johnson, and Charlie Christain to Guns and Roses and Heart. He always knew that he was destined to enter the musical field; he just never knew exactly how.
In 2004, John Randazzo picked up his first guitar and began to play. Originally idolizing the music of the "British invasion", The Beatles, Rolling stones, The Who, Ect.. he immediatly fell in love with immensly popular semi-hollow body guitars of the era.
Shifting to American music, Jimi Hendrix, The Mama's and the Papa's and The Doors, John developed a growing interest in solid body electric guitars. He studied how they are made, types of woods, constructions, different playing styles, techniques, and how all these things influence the sound and tones of the instrument.
A couple years later, John found himself having an interest in the blues. The raw feelings and emotions expressed in blues music instantly caught his attention. Exploring the genre and its history, there was so much to learn, the sounds and types of guitars only added to the individualism of the blues style and how every musician had his very own sound and signature playing style. John made it his goal to build guitars that enhanced the player's unique techique and style, rather than the player building their techique and style around their instrument.
Strongly influenced by Johnny Winter's music, he decided to look into this genre even more. The way Winter used distortion and effects to enhance and highlight his playing style, forced John to think about effects, and how they affect the instrument and the influence on the player. So John adapted the way he makes guitars to enhance the options available by effects.
After 6 years of guitar building, between school and work, John is now working full time making guitars, and doing repairs. If you want more information, feel free to contact us on our "Contact Information" Page!
